Saved steps

A computer task a bot did on your Mac repeats the next time with no AI: no tokens, and done in seconds.

When you ask a bot for a task on this Mac (open an app, click through a few windows, set a field) and it does it with the AI, Brainwrite can save the steps it took. The next time you send the same words, the steps run again straight away with no AI: no tokens, and done in a few seconds. If any step doesn't work, the request goes to the AI as usual, with a note of what was already done.

How you see it

  • A reply whose steps were saved shows Saved these steps · next time no AI.
  • A reply that repeated saved steps shows Repeated saved steps · no AI, and says what it did.
  • Forget on either one deletes those saved steps, so the next time the AI does the task again. Only the owner or an admin of the computer can forget steps.

Each step still asks for your approval the way the AI's step did, and the computer's own safety checks still apply.

When steps are saved and repeated

Steps are saved only from your own direct request, when every step can be found again exactly (by the app, the window and the button or field). They are not saved for clicks on a spot of the screen, drags, the built-in browser, typing into a field, or a request that mentions a moment ("this", "latest", "today").

They are repeated only when the bot has Full access, you picked This computer as its place (not Auto), and the computer is a Mac. Steps that set a field's text are repeated only for exactly the same request.

Turn it off

Settings → General → Repeat computer tasks without AI. It is on by default on a Mac, and not shown on Windows or a Cloud. Turned off, nothing new is saved and nothing is repeated.

Saved steps are kept for each bot on this computer. Steps not used for 60 days are dropped.
