Plans and licensing
Brainwrite's plans, what they include, and how the trial, renewal, cancellation and offline use work.
Brainwrite needs an active plan on the account you sign in with. You choose one in the app after your first sign-in, or at cloud.brainwrite.in for Brainwrite Cloud.
The plans
Prices are in US dollars.

Brainwrite Cloud lists everything each Cloud plan includes.
Beyond Pro and Max's Claude credit, AI usage is not included. Your bots use the engines and AI accounts you already have, such as a Claude or ChatGPT subscription or an API key, and your provider bills that usage under its own terms and limits. See Agent engines.
Free trial
Brainwrite Cloud starts with a 3-day free trial, once per person. A card is needed to start, and nothing is charged until the trial ends. Cancel before it ends from Manage billing and you pay nothing. A month is not refunded once it is charged. Someone who has already had a Cloud plan or a trial is charged from the first day.
Paying
Payments are handled by Stripe in your browser. Start the payment from the app or from cloud.brainwrite.in while signed in: the payment is then linked to your account, whichever email you type at checkout, and your email is filled in for you. The app checks your account every 10 seconds while the plans are showing and opens by itself once the payment goes through.
Renewal and cancellation
- Plans renew automatically: Brainwrite Cloud every month, Organisation every year.
- You can switch between Starter, Pro and Max from Manage billing at any time.
- You can cancel any time. Access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.
- When a plan ends, there is no grace period: at its next check the app shows the plans until you renew.
- For Brainwrite Cloud, a renewal payment that does not go through stops your Cloud computer straight away. See Billing and cancellation for what happens to its data.
Using Brainwrite offline
Brainwrite checks your account when it opens, and every 8 hours while it stays open. If it cannot reach Brainwrite's account service, for example on a plane, the app keeps working for up to 7 days from the last successful check. If your account was signed out or your plan has ended, the app asks you to sign in or renew the next time it can check.
See your license in the app
Open Settings, then Brainwrite License (under Account, after Brainwrite Cloud). It shows:
- Status: Active, Ends soon (30 days or fewer left), Ended, No license, or Not confirmed.
- Signed in as, and whether that sign-in was verified with Brainwrite just now or is being honoured from an earlier check because Brainwrite could not be reached.
- License: what unlocks the app on this account (a Brainwrite Cloud subscription, a yearly Organisation license bought by this account, a yearly per-account license from the earlier plan, or an internal license), its plan, and the date it is valid until, with the days left.
- Confirmation: when the license was last confirmed with
accounts.brainwrite.in. If Brainwrite cannot be reached, the last answer is honoured for up to 7 days and the page says until when. Not confirmed means the check could not be made and no earlier answer is saved; it is not a refusal, so choose Check again once you are online.
Below it, Organization license key shows the yearly key installed on this server, if there is one: who it was issued to, its features, when it ends, and that its signature was verified on your own computer without going online. If a key is present but not active, the page shows why, in the server's own words.
The page is shown in the desktop app. Buying or renewing a plan stays on the payment screen the app shows when a plan has ended.
Several Macs
Your plan belongs to your account, not to one computer. Sign in with the same email on each Mac you use.
